Getting Started

What is Bree?

Bree is your interview preparation hub. Track companies you're applying to, organize your research and talking points, and manage each stage of the interview process in one place.

Adding a Company

Click + Add Company to create a new entry. Fill in the company name, role, status, and any relevant links (job posting, website, interview call link). You can also select which interview stages apply (screening, interview, technical, culture).

Interview Stages

When adding or editing a company, check the stages that apply to your process:

📞 Screening Call - initial recruiter or hiring manager chat
💬 Interview - main interview rounds
💻 Technical Challenge - take-home exercises or live coding
🤝 Culture Fit - values and team fit conversations

Each stage gets its own tab in the detail view with a dedicated notes area for prep, feedback, and outcomes.

Status Picker

Click the status badge on a company's detail page to quickly change it without opening the edit modal. Pick from researching, applied, interviewing, offer, rejected, or declined.

Prep Sections

In the Overview tab, add sections to organize your prep:

Job Description - paste the full job spec
Their Product - research about what they build
My Relevant Skills - map your experience to their requirements
Talking Points - key themes to hit in interviews
Questions to Ask - prepared questions for the interviewer
Culture & Values - company culture notes
Compensation - salary, benefits, equity info
General Notes - anything else

AI Analysis BYOK

Set up your API key in Settings (Anthropic or OpenAI). Then use the AI Analyze button on any company to auto-generate prep sections from a job spec and your resume. Your key stays in your browser - never sent to our server.

Ask AI

The Ask AI widget at the bottom of the Overview tab lets you ask follow-up questions. It has full context of your prep sections, resume, and the company details. Chat history is saved per company.

Syncing Account

Sign in with a Meduseld Account (account button) to sync your data across devices. Without an account, data is saved locally only.
